How much power do CO2 laser power supplies need?

We measure the AC current and power output of the laser tube. Measurements are at 120V AC. Efficiency is calculated by (rated power output)/(power input). If the laser machine has thin wire feeding the laser power supply AC input, the current will be higher than usual and it can get hotter than thicker wire. When you upgrade the laser power, please keep an eye on the wire gauge.
We can see the higher power laser tubes are a little bit more efficient than lower power laser tubes.
Most of the energy turns into waste heat, so the water chiller is a must.
